Our Experience

The Good: Worked for a few months right out of the box, little to no issues setting up due to its simplicity.

The Bad: After having it in use only maybe 4 months – One day the unit started leaking quite a bit, water everywhere, leaking into their poorly placed battery compartment – All I can say is that this company will do nothing but give the run around when your unit starts leaking within the warranty period. Imagine this – They had me take apart the unit with zero direction on how to do so and photograph the leaks before they’ed even talk to me. They then made up reasons out of thin air (said the warranty was voided because it was installed “permanently” that are not actually written in their warranty to not cover your failed product after not responding for a week.

In use: This thing was pretty terrible when it came to temp regulation, in the hot summers here it would put out scalding water, in the cold it could barely get warm. It seems that the rating it gave for GPMs was its absolute max in the most favorable conditions! If we turned on ANY faucet it would make our shower go cold or scalding hot. Never a pleasant experience being held hostage by your water use if you live with other people.

Would we buy again?

NOPE, and on top of that what a joke of a company, product and a lame excuse of a warranty – it’s basically criminal what they are doing: Having untrained people take apart their units that are hooked up to gas / electrical and then telling them that something they never set forth in their warranty is the reason they aren’t covering it and all along the way trying to sell them a new unit! I wouldn’t recommend any of their products or customer service to my worst enemies.

They did eventually send me a replacement unit that was “reconditioned”, I didn’t even take it out of the box and gave it away. We are now using a Rinnai V65EP 6.6 GPM Outdoor Low NOx Tankless Propane Water Heater – Keep your eyes peeled for a review on this water heater coming soon, I’ll give you a hint on how it goes: we love it so far!
